REDLINE VINTAGE BMX - Dedicated to Authenticty
After 15 years of documenting BMX history and creating history-focused projects for legendary companies like Vans, Oakley, and Haro—including the 2012 Haro Freestyler and the 2020 First Generation Haro Master and Sport limited editions—I arrived at Redline, arguably the most iconic and storied company in BMX racing and freestyle history. As a pioneer in the BMX scene of the 1970s and '80s, Redline has built a 50-year legacy defined by groundbreaking, best-in-class racing and freestyle products.
Drawing on extensive experience in project management, marketing, and manufacturing management—and fueled by a deep passion for the original era of BMX— Redline Vintage BMX is dedicated to honoring Redline’s history and philosophy of innovation. My approach is rooted in an uncompromising commitment to delivering the highest-quality products through an authentic interaction that vintage BMX collectors, brand historians, and BMX enthusiasts seek and deserve.
I think like a customer because I am one—if I weren’t making these bikes and components, I’d be buying them myself. I understand the desire to own an RL 20 II Prostyler or a set of 401 Series Flight Cranks began decades ago. You’re not looking for something approximate or a lookalike with new features or altered logos - you want authenticity and era-correct detail.
Before I started the Redline Vintage brand (previously Redline Foundations), I had been active in the vintage BMX scene for over 20 years. I have researched and written four BMX History books, overseen the manufacture of hundreds of reissue bikes, frames, and components, and designed apparel and digital/print content for numerous brands and projects. I have staged and hosted BMX events in the United States and Europe and have interviewed over 150 members of the 1970s and 80s BMX community, including pro freestyle riders, legendary racers, founding editors, and iconic photographers. Ultimately, my appreciation for this era and my own story as a neighborhood kid riding bikes with my crew in the 1980s is no different from many of yours.
In 2026 / 2027, Redline Vintage BMX launches a series of limited-edition bicycle and component releases, giving enthusiasts access to hard-to-find components and iconic products that celebrate key milestones in Redline’s history and unrivaled back catalog.
